Space Domain Awareness
I have a deep interest in the problem of tracking objects in orbit. The space-tracking network is fragmented, government-controlled, and closed to new entrants, and I find the technical and systems-level challenges here genuinely compelling. As a side project I have been exploring what the sensor and data infrastructure layer for this problem could look like, with simulation-validated sensor fusion pipelines and tracking algorithms across LEO/MEO/GEO regimes. Early-stage and very much a passion project. Always happy to connect with others curious about the same space.
Tennis Line Judge (Android)
I play tennis competitively in local leagues and tournaments in San Diego, and like most club players I have spent more time than I would like arguing about line calls. SwingVision does this well, but it requires their ecosystem and runs in the cloud. I am building an Android app that does real-time line calling entirely on-device, no internet connection required, using the phone camera. The goal is something lightweight enough to run on a mid-range Android phone at courtside without a subscription or external hardware. Early-stage, but the computer vision side of this sits squarely in my research background, so it is a natural side project to dig into.
HOA Financial Dashboard (Web App)
As the treasurer of my HOA, I got tired of manually deciphering the dense, outdated PDF reports our management company sends every month and trying to explain them to residents. I built a small web app that ingests those reports and turns them into a clean, readable financial dashboard so residents can easily track where we stand. Scratched a genuine itch and shipped something people in my community actually use.
